We focus on kids when they can't

Victor Eye Centre sources glasses for our littlest patients from ‘Little 4 Eyes’ in Melbourne, which was founded in 2014 to meet the needs of the owners’ (both optometrists) own two children, at a time when it was near impossible to find child-friendly glasses in Australia.

In addition to sassy glasses that even the most Princessy of action heroes will be happy to be seen dead in, our range includes extensive sizing options to ensure the fit is “just right” and super comfy for your child’s unique face. We also want your child to live life to the full without you constantly worrying about their glasses. Many in this range are as repairable as glasses can be, with replaceable parts, soft and bendy arms, and special hinges which can take even the most boisterous hammering.

Our boutique little practice doesn’t allow us to display every style and colour combination, but once we’ve identified the optimum size, if you can’t find what your child loves in stock, they can choose from the extensive catalogue and we’ll order them in for your child to try. Free of charge and just a couple of days to wait.

We also recognise that buying glasses for a growing child needs to fit into every family budget and we offer a range of frames (over and above the brands listed here) and lenses to fit most pockets. After-pay is also available to spread the cost.

Our great kids’ glasses are just part of our complete kids’ care package – perfect for the busiest of parents and wriggliest of kids.

Let's not forget

  • A child-friendly practice with toilet and nappy-changing facilities (plus spare supplies if you get caught short) with breast-feeding welcome.
  • Off-street parking behind the practice and shelter for prams and pushchairs.
  • Advice on various options for budding sportsmen and women, including contact lenses and prescription goggles.
  • The facts on safe screen-time (for when you’re in need of down time) and how to avoid headaches and eye strain when study starts getting serious.
  • Stockists of eye patches and a range of supplies to support healthy eyes and glasses care.
  • An eye sight check in readiness for hitting the tarmac with their Learner’s permit.

Despite our best efforts, we are (alas) only human and there will be the occasional and rare monumental stuff up. Or perhaps a lens type just isn’t solving the problem. For this we offer:

  • A 2-year warranty on all frames and lenses against manufacturing faults and defects. (This does not include reversing over them with your car, finding them ‘loved’ in your dog’s basket, or other ‘normal’ wear and tear.)
  • A lifetime service warranty for your eyewear, including free adjustments, cleaning, replacement of nose pads, screws, and general care to keep your child’s glasses comfortable and looking awesome.
  • A 3-month prescription warranty on all the lenses we prescribe and dispense. If your child has a prescription change or difficulty adapting to their new prescription we will replace the lenses at no charge. (This does not include prescriptions provided by optometrists from out of our practice, or our prescriptions dispensed elsewhere.)

We’re not precious about the Health Fund you prefer – toss any card you’ve got at us when you pay and we’ll happily process any optical benefits you are eligible for.

We welcome our veterans and eligible family members – have your DVA card ready.

For those “aghhhhh” moments, we offer After Pay and also accept VISA and Mastercard.
